Dragon Ball Super has provided countless powerful characters to clash against the Z-Fighters, although it also took the opportunity to bring comedic relief when possible. Such is the case with Cheelai, a former Frieza Force member who befriended Legendary Super Saiyan Broly who recently returned to the franchise in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. While the alien creature has yet to officially appear in the manga, the cosplayers are using their chance to bring it back into the fold.
While many have assumed that a relationship would be in the works between Broly and Cheelai, Legendary Super Saiyan appears to have some competition in the form of the God of Destruction, Beerus. With Goku, Vegeta, and Broly training on the plane inhabited by Whis and Beerus, the feline destroyer makes contact with Cheelai and she instantly falls in love. The battle that took place during Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero In this alien world, it has mostly seen Goku and Vegeta test their strength and skills against each other, although the future of the Shonen series could certainly give us a Broly/Beerus battle if the stars align and nerves ignite.
Instagram cosplayer Louxxei shared this new take on Cheelai, who isn’t exactly a fighter compared to the likes of Goku, Vegeta and Broly but earned her spot in the Shonen series after debuting in Dragon Ball Super: BrolyAlthough it hasn’t appeared in the official manga yet:
Right now, after Super Hero, the future of Dragon Ball Super is up in the air when it comes to both manga and anime. Since the series has yet to say if the TV series will return after the conclusion of Moro and Granolah Arcs, the manga is also taking a hiatus as the creative minds behind the series work on the next arc. Given how the battle against the Heeters ended in Shonen Jump, it wouldn’t be surprising if Frieza and his new form were set to play a central role in the manga’s future.
